Dan and I are thinking of taking our first vacation in a few years and of course, we won't leave the dogs behind.
I'm finding it difficult to find any websites devoted to dog friendly rental properties. Specifically, we're looking for a home (not a condo, hotel, etc) in the western US (preferably on a lake or in the mountains).
Does anyone have any suggestions?

Dog Friendly! (http://www.dogfriendly.com/)

The only time Feline travelled with us is when we stayed in NYC for a few days following a medical procedure I had done. I was amazed to find a reasonably-priced hotel, next to Central Park, who had no problem with Feline staying with us in our room. She loved the view of the park.

I know many hotels that are dog friendly, but not too many other types of accomodation. Some customers of mine used to rent a bungalow somewhere in Napa County, in a park that is especially for people to rent bungalows and bring their dogs along, but I can't remember the name of the place. These customers have, unfortunately, just moved to New Hampshire this week (:( :( :( ), and I have no contact number for them. They said they would email me pictures of the dogs in their new home, and I can ask them then, but I have no idea when that might be.

You might find something amongst this lot. Good luck.

There's Stanford Inn by the Sea (http://www.stanfordinn.com/), which is dog friendly and has vegetarian and organic cuisine. Its a bed and breakfast, though.
