so......what did you think? Was it a good reply? I mean they didn't actually mention veganism which was the whole point.
:rubchin: It was probably a form letter, but who knows - they might actually do something about it. :crossfingers:
Paul Watson’s Ten Commandments in 2003.
Lifestyle changes needed are in this order:
1. Don’t bring any more humans into being. There are enough of us.
2. Spay and neuter every domestic animal possible—there are enough of them.
3. Go vegan and reduce your consumption of resources.
4. Dare to think outside the matrix i.e. outside the dominant paradigm created by mass media, industry and government.
5. Make your life count for something before you die.
6. Live your life in accordance to the laws of ecology.
7. Reject anthropocentrism and adopt a biocentric perspective.
8. Dare to fail. Dare to live. Dare to be immune from the opinions of humanity.
9. Love this life. It’s the only one you will ever have so take advantage of it while you can.
10. Don’t get caught by the forces of anthropocentrism.

The Bite Back Interview with Paul Watson
I have to say I agree with all of them.....once I looked up the big words.
Thanks Keykeypie. I have a lot of respect for Paul Watson. The only one I don't agree with is #9. I believe in reincarnation.

Technically, even if you believe in reincarnation, he's right since this particular life, you being exactly who you are now living now, is the only one you'll have. If you are reincarnated, you'll come back some other time and/or some other person/animal etc.

YES.....but if it works the way I think [and who really knows????] but I
mean you're still "you".....only different.
I'm not religious in any way.....but I do believe in reincarnation....because
it's the only thing that makes sense. Should we move this to another
thread & take a poll?

Just to stick my oar in and to muddy the waters of off-topicness even more - I believe that we do only have one life. But it is eternal. Even if we are reincarnated, which I don't believe, it is still the same life. Just a different, temporary body. Life goes on. And on. And on.
MMmm intresting:lightbulb: :rubchin:
err thats all ive got to say at the moment:o :sorry: :shy:

Only if you can come up with enough alternative options for people to vote on, Keykeypie. :)
I understand TVT's point. :agree: Although I believe that if I come back to this planet, I'll be a human being. If I changed from human to animal and back again over various lifetimes, the shift from animal to human would be going backwards! :(
Gliondrach made a good point, too. :)
And I'm looking forward to Paul's opinion. :updn:
well are you sitting comfortably ,then I'll begin.:D
i believe in reincarnation, i don't know why i have no evidence, its just a feeling i have.
a couple of years a go i was doing a couple of courses, crystal healing and a colour therapy one, and the tutor told us when she was training they had a person come in and gave them all regression, and one of the women in the class, found out she was a Nazi concentration guard, she never went back to the class again.
it must be horrible to find out something like that.

Would you guys like a reincarnation thread? I can move some of these posts to it, if you think the discussion will continue. I don't mind threads going a little off topic, but I'll be glad to start a thread for it. Or somebody else can, if you want to make a poll, and I can move these posts over to it.

I don't have any "hard evidence" either, Paul, but I believe. :)
It's a real shame that the woman left the class. I once read about a person committing suicide because of who they had been in another lifetime. But NO-ONE can change the past. The best we can do is do our best in this lifetime. :agree:

Since I'm the resident Luddite, I'll leave the techno-stuff to someone who knows how to make those computer gizmos actually do what they're told. :dizzy:

Would you guys like a reincarnation thread?
Oh yes....that would be great.:agree: Because I also think sometimes people
we know in pasts lives are somehow drawn to each other in this life.
Maybe even some of us here in NV shared a past life together.
( If we have a new thread....I'd post this: )
For example.....once years ago, I was visiting my mother and we were
going somewhere but she had to make one quick stop at someone's house
to drop something off. She pulled up in front and asked me to just go
ring the bell & hand the lady this cat carrier she'd borrowed.
When the door opened it was the strangest thing....the woman
was totally unfamilar to me & yet at the same time I had a feeling of
suddenly finding an old friend or sister or someone I'd been very close to
at some time. And she [ I learned later ] had the same feeling.
In fact, that feeling was so strong, I actually asked my mother if we
could stay and visit for a while. My mother stayed a few minutes but Sue
& I were so deep in conversation my mother finally went on & said she'd
come by and pick me up later.
We just talked & talked about everything.....like two old friends who
needed to catch up after being apart for many years.
Finally.....when we we're caught up, so to speak....we discussed the
strangeness of that feeling that we'd known each other before.
We both kinda believed in reincarnation and I said I'd always had a strong
feeling I'd lived a past life in England. She said "That's so weird...me too"
After I left & came back to NY I got out this detailed map of England & tried to meditate for a little while until I was completely relaxed & then closed my eyes and moved my finger over the surface of the map until "something"
told me where to let it rest.
I then wrote down the name of the place and a few places near by.
The name of the place was Carlisle. Then I called Sue & asked her to
do the same thing to see what she came up with. She did and we compaired our list........she picked 7 towns & I picked 6 and 5 out of the seven we're the same.
A year or so later.....I went to a woman who'd been highly recommended
for a regression.....to me it was a waste of money. Although I was certainly
willing to trust her & follow her instructions, I couldn't see anything or
even feel anything, other then the room I was in............but even so, I still
believe there MUST be "something"......reincarnation....or something.....
and I bet I'm not the only one. :agree:

I'm an agnostic, both when it comes to religion and alternative beliefs (UFO's, psychics, new age stuff etc.) so I voted "undecided". I really don't know if reincarnation exists or not.... although my dog has an airy resemblance to my brother who passed away a few years ago. Now that sounds so "out there" that I haven't told anyone... except you guys. I just leave that subject open - anything is possible.

"You know, I don't think it would be any more
unusual for me to show up in another life, than it was for me to show up in this one!" -Eleanor Roosevelt
I don't know if that was the exact quote, but you get the idea.

Perhaps you're the reincarnation of Eleanor Roosevelt.

I am a huge believer that we have many lives and the people that are significant in our current life are significant in other lives too...our souls meet each other in many lives over and over and make pacts with each other to connect on the earthly plane. And therefore I am a huge believer in Karma too.
I have had several soul connections whether partners or friends...my partner and soul mate of 14 years was an old connection which was very harmonious because we have had other lives together and knew each others souls well, whereas my current soul mate is a new soul connection so we have a lot more issues to resolve. But the connections we make in this life could be different in other lives, for example my soul friends could be my parents or siblings or partners in past lives. I know I am a fairly old soul but not as old as some I have met and hence I have still many more lessons to learn in many more lives, and once I have learnt certain lessons my soul can move on and gain a higher vibration, to another life to learn another lesson otherwise I will have to learn it again in another life. I know I have several lives still to go before I do not have to return to the earthly plane :)
sorry if I have lost you on that one but that is how I feel intuitively and what I have experienced :)

I think Reincarnation is a control mechanism like 'Heaven and Hell'.
Be good or.....
In my more 'youthful' days I walked into a Buddhist temple and told the resident monks that reincarnation was a load of old tosh and explained in detail why. They disagreed but we all sat and meditated together anyway. :hug2:

I kind of believe in reincarnation. I'm such a thorough agnostic that I can't commit to any religious or spiritual belief other than the basics (take care of the earth and each other, etc.).
I've always had the feeling that if I did have a previous life, there was only one and I died as a child. Until I was thirteen or fourteen I thought everyone my age was a stupid kid. After that, I got completely lost. So that's my reasoning.

I don't believe in it but what else could explain how I became so wonderful in so short a time? It seems impossible that anyone could have achieved my level of greatness in one lifetime.
