Whilst surfing around looking for new vegan sites, I had the misfortune of finding:

http://www.Veganforum.info (http://www.Veganforum.info)

It seems to be a nice directory of many top vegan sites, however there is a hint of viciousness.

From the site:
'We DO NOT RECOMMEND VEGANFORUM.COM because of the the complaints of censorship and a fear atmosphere there, and other worrying bad stuff such as security of private message. Maybe veganforum.com is one person trying setting up a first vegan police state, so let us know if you know more about the problems there.
underconstruction@veganforum.info'

Please be advised that this statement does not in any way represent my opinions or that of Nakedvegan.net. :professor:

I had no idea there were so many vegan forums! It does seem a shame that there is some negativity expressed, but I would think that even bad publicity is good publicity, and more folks will be attracted by their curiosity about what might be going on there. Still, I expect its easy enough for the maligned forum to find out who is responsible for that site, and take appropriate action, if the claims are indeed untrue.

I know that we are all individuals, and that there will always be personality clashes that cannot be avoided simply because we have veganism in common, but I really wish that the bonds of our shared philosophy would be seen, by all of us,to be as strong as the ties that keep families together. I mean, your brother or your mother might be very different from you, emotionally, politically, religiously, etc., but that cannot change the fact that that person IS your brother or your mother. I wish we could all find a way to feel that way about each other, and treat each other with the same respect with which we treat our family members, regardless of our individual differences. I value my veganism more than any other aspect of my way of life, and I think our shared vegan philosophy ought to be considered by each of us to be strong enough to override our lesser differences, and keep us united. Sadly, that is not the case, both on an individual basis, and apparently, on a larger scale as well.

Speaking from personal experience, I can say that myself and a few other members I know of have gone through a lot of what was said about that other site.
