View Full Version : Think Dennis Kucinich - Not Hillary!

I posted the bulletin on Myspace:

Seriously, the more people become aware of him, the less likely they are to vote for Hillary in the primary. He is spot on when it comes to the issues and he is the only person running on the Democratic side who embraces those partys' values as a whole. The other candidates are picking and choosing from that value pool and disregarding many important issues. Look, I want to see a woman president one day as much as most of you do. However, until a good woman candidate is running there is no reason anyone with an ounce of sense should vote for someone just because she is a woman. Know the issues first and foremost!

Learn about Dennis, and spread the word. Whomever the Dems put up will be our next president. It is as important as ever to put up the right candidate. Think about this, Dennis is from Ohio, and he would carry Ohio for the Dems! He would win all of the states Kerry won in '04 so with Ohio, he walks into the white house. You want change, right? You want a better direction, right?

A few keys to victory:

- Getting at least 80% of the 18-25 age group to turnout and vote
- Spreading the word about Dennis and what he stands for
- Add him as a Myspace friend and put him in your top friends
- When the media outlets exclude him from polls, let them know about it!

The rest will take care of itself!

HIS MYSPACE PAGE (www.myspace.com/kucinich2008)

HIS OFFICIAL WEBSITE (http://kucinich.us/)

Check out both links and then decide if you think Hillary, Edwards, or Obama deserve your vote. I’m sure you will find Dennis most closely resembles your values and what you consider important.

If you believe in change, the process of getting him elected beings NOW!

And, he is vegan and has been vegan for 20 plus years on top of all of the good this man stands for!!

I sent him my first contribution the day he stood up for us against the AETA.
And I'll continue to support him every way I can.....having him as president would be the greatest thing that could happen to this country.

I voted for him on his MySpace page. After my vote he had 323, which put him in second place after that Obama person. Never heard of this person.

You will.....he's a very likable guy.....very different from the usual politician
and he'd be my second choice.....but oh if only Dennis COULD win...it would be so great.

I never even considered anyone else after I learned that Mr. Kucinich was running. And it's not only because he's vegan, he's the first politician that I respect what he stands for.

I hate to have to think about a second choice. I don't know much about Obama's views so I'd have to do more research first.

I do too, Indy, but there's no way I could ever vote for Hilary Clinton. :blecch: I've been getting more and more upset about what to do. I feel so much better now that I've read this thread! :) But if Hilary gets the nomination, I may have to vote Republican. :dark: Or for Ralph Nader. :o Or move to Canada. :whiteflag:

I just spent about an hour and a half looking over his Office Web Site and his MySpace web site. Why haven't I heard more of this man? He would definitely be someone we would want in office. I'm like Fauxmage - I know I didn't want Hillary in office - but didn't know what to do. He needs a lot more exposure. IndyVegan said to contact the media so I already e-mailed CNN and asked to see more of Dennis Kucinich.

I'll write to a few papers over here to ask why there is no mention of him. I'll say that he is gaining new converts and is definitely one to watch.

I am glad to hear everyone is as excited as I am about Dennis. He was right out there today with the heroes from all across America protesting the illegal and immoral war in Iraq. He is what America needs going forward in 2008. The nightmare is almost over!

If Hillary wins, *the lack of god* forbid, I will not give her my vote unless she embraces Dennis' values and views! Even then, I still don't know if I'd trust her.

Hilary voted for the war back then and that's a BIG "no, no" in my book.

Thanks again for posting this, Indy. I know we've posted about Dennis Kucinich here before, but he deserves his own thread. :agree:

I wish DK had a chance, but I'm afraid he doesn't. He's not a "bigwig" in the political landscape...that is, he does not follow the big money views, so he'll never have the money to pay for nat'l exposure in a big way and the big media conglomerates won't help in that area either. Even if by some miracle he got on the Democratic ticket, he'd be painted as a "soft" liberal with extremist views and I'm afraid most Americans would fall for it. I also unfortunatley believe that should something extremely unlikely happen so that he did win, he wouldn't be able to get anything done with Congress (whether Democratic or Republican controlled) because of his non-conformist views and associations.

As far as Hillary goes, I hope she doesn't win the nomination (which I'm almost positive she will*), but if she's up against another Bushie (I know it won't be W, but someone else with his views), I would have to vote for her:sigh: If this was 30 years or so ago, she woulda probably been considered a slightly moderate Republican. I've unfortunately become a "vote for the lesser of two evils" voter:covereyes:

*She is one of those "bigwigs" and in Democratic primaries it seems people who agree with her views are more likely to vote. I'm in a state where the primaries are so "far gone" (decision already made) that it makes no difference. Last time I voted for Edwards because he was the best of who was left in the race by then.
