I know there are thousands of AR web pages, and that's a good thing, is it not? But one in particular is really doing some great work in the small, not
very animal friendly, country of Malta.
I expect some of you already know Kenneth.....Martin & Kriter I think you do...anyway.....this really caught my attention.
They have been so successful in getting the word out that this
local charity refused a donation from a circus.
A charity home for the handicapped refuses a donation from the animal circus
The administration of the Siggiewi homes for the handicapped - Dar tal-Providenza - said donations were always accepted with thanks but it "would decline donations from sources in any way associated with cruelty or even the semblance of cruelty to animals".
The administration made the declaration following an item that appeared on the latest issue of The Sunday Times.
The item, referring to the visiting Circo Bellucci, said among other things that a donation "will be given to Dar tal-Providenza and the Creche of the Ursuline Sisters".

Anyway.....I was so impressed with that & all the anti-circus demos they've
been doing I wanted to make a donation so I went to www.animalrightsmalta.com and guess what....they don't accept donations.
The reason is because they don't want to take any money away from other
animal shelters or groups on the island.......isn't that something???
So I told Kenneth....I still would like to help and he said "Just keep spreading the word" so that's what I'm doing.
