Dr Peter Singer on Comedy Channel

Did anyone catch Dr Peter Singer on The Colbert report last night on Comedy Channel? If not, it is repeated again tonight (8:30 PM NY time, not sure when in other time zones).
This is a "fake news" show so it's meant to parody news, but unfortunately I thought the audience and the vibe in general were making Singer's arguements out to be pretty much a joke. (sigh.)
I've heard he is not the greatest AR rep (I'd like to hear some of you elaborate on that), but hey, his message was awesome, he only had like 5 minutes to get his point across, and I was very sorry to see they didn't seem to take him seriously at all. :(
Anyone else see it? Any thoughts?

Paul, I watch The Daily Show with Jon Stewart and The Colbert Report every single night. LOL!! Jon Stewart is my fav.
I just ordered Peter Singer's book "In Defense of Animals". I had heard someone on another forum saying they didn't like him, or he didn't represent the cause well or some such thing. I don't know, but he sounds like an awesome ARA to me. I'm embarrassed to say I've only learned about some of these books very recently. :shy: But...better late than never. And I love having many good books to read. :reading: I've got lots of catching up to do.

I'm not a big fan of peter singer, he isn't in to animal rights just anti specism.
i haven't read any AR books for ages, maybe i should start again, i'll start hunting around charity shops again see if i can find any.

I agree with Paul.....that is, I think Paul & I have probably read
the same things......and IF what we've read is true...I don't like him much either.

AHA! So now I see. :dizzy: That must be what the person on the other forum was talking about. I thank you both, Paul and KeyKey, for elaborating on that for me - and for the link to that article. See, this is why I need to be here, to learn something new every day. And always get more than one side to every story.

i remember reading animal liberation about 15/16 years ago, i cant remeber much about it apart from the specism.
