Syracuse: Victory for the Animals! Ringling Cancels show!

VICTORY: Ringling cancels performance and suffers huge economic loss
The Onondage County War Memorial fits 6,000 people per event. Ringling Brothers had a TOTAL 7 performance attendance of less than 4,000 in Syracuse over the past 4 days. Frustrated and already suffering a huge loss, they cancelled their last performance and left Syracuse early.
Since opening night anywhere from 4-12 activists were at every performance holding signs and handing out literature. Two double banner drops were held over bridges facing incoming morning rush hour traffic on Rt. 81, over just 2 hours exposing an estimated 4,500 commuters to the messages: "Ringling Circus: 19 dead elephants and counting..." and Ringling elephants: beaten, abused and chained". Four TV stations and 2 radio stations came out and covered our demonstrations throughout Ringling's stay both letting them (and the public considering coming to the show) know we were not going away and sending a message to Ringling that the animal abuse was not going to be ignored.
A HUGE thank you to everyone who came out and helped hand out over 1,200 leaflets. Last time Ringling was in town was 2 years ago and they also left with a loss at 5,200 attendance. This is proof that we are making a difference. It would be very surprising if Ringling decides to try coming back to Syracuse again.
Activists were at the entrance to greet the 40 or so potential customers trying to go to the last performance letting them know it was cancelled and giving them information to leave with.
