View Full Version : Homemade spaghetti sauce question

I'm making spaghetti sauce using the tomatoes from my garden. It's tasting pretty good but it's very "tomato-y". Know what I mean? I don't know what else to add to mellow it out.
So far, it has: basil, pepper, oregano, sea salt, onions & garlic.

I like a pinch of cinnamon in mine, a bay leaf, and a splash of really good red wine. Not the stuff sold for cooking, but really good stuff for drinking. :toast:

I forgot...I do have a bay leaf in it already. I'll add some red wine tomorrow.
Cinnamon, huh? I'll have to try that.
