I just wanted to pay tribute to, and remember those that died five years ago today.

Thanks for starting this thread my3labs. I've been thinking about what happened all day.

Yes, thanks my3labs.
Here in Australia we've had some programs on television about 9/11, in the lead up to the date. It brings the terrible scenes back to life. The most depressing program was called "The Falling Man" and it left me with some extremely disturbing images in my mind. :(

God bless those who died ... and those who are still suffering.

It's very tough around here on 9/11, so many families destroyed and loved ones killed. The story that makes me cry the most is the woman in the town I live now who was 8 months pregnant and due to go out on maternity leave the end of the week :( . I still get occasional flashbacks to that day, it was quite terrifying around here. My job was evacuated as our offices are close to NYC and there were rumours of additional attacks.
Not to diminish 9/11, but my heart goes out to those who have suffered on that day and since then due to politicians using 9/11 as an excuse for mass genocide. Hundreds of thousands of innocent lives have been taken since then with our government using 9/11 as an excuse. :(

That's what makes me reluctant to even mention it any more, vegantwins, and its not fair to the people who suffered and died, that even mentioning what happened continues to be seen as a justification for all that has happened since.
