Do you use a vitamin and mineral supplement? If so, what brand, etc etc?

I started taking "Deva" brand multivitamins and mineral supplements (approved by the Vegan Society too). It's pretty high in all the vitamins and minerals except calcium (  ) so I make sure to get lots of greens and stuff. It was also pretty cheap, $14 with shipping and everything.

You?

I like to take liquid supplements, as I dislike swallowing tablets. My local store is not carrying my favorite brand anymore, so I bought "Advanced Nutritional System" multivitamin tablets by Rainbow Light. They have all-vegetable ingredients. It took me a while to find them, as so many supplements that include "superfoods" have bee pollen, in spite of the vegetarian label. I also got Country Life's Total Mins, as it is better to take minerals and vitamins at different times of the day. Some vitamins interfere with the absorption of some minerals.

I try to take them on a regular basis, but I am forgetful. I am undecided as to whether they are necessary. Some folks think that eating a proper diet should be sufficient, but others feel that since soils are depleted foods are not as nutritious as they used to be, and our bodies are contending with more stress due to modern conditions and therefore need more nutrition than they used to. :sigh:

I too am undecided. Intuitively I feel they should not be necessary but then again.....

I do take B12 fairly regularly, as a precaution. I use a brand called 'Golden Glow' who clearly label their vegan vitamin supplements. They are probably only available in Australia. :sorry:

I'm unsure if they are necessary either. I am on the birth control pill which supposedly doesn't allow your body to absorb B vitamins or something, so I take the multivitamins to help with that (there's between 500% to 700% of the daily recommended intake for each B vitamin!). I find I feel less depressed when I take them, so I think that's good. :yheart:

I take a Once a day supplement by Sevenseas...

I keep forgetting to take them recently though and I like to take them as sometimes my diet sucks like this week. I'm having a bad diet week this week.
