Well yesterday my partner and I went to a local cat and dog rescue to look for another dog. However, on arriving at the cattery, the very last animal we saw was Lilly: A year old black and white cat, with all the love and affection in the world to give us who was playing with our keyrings under the bars.
Anyway we went to speak to a member of staff who interviewed us and went down to have her out her pen and get to know her........ She's so adorable and affectionate. Apparantly her previous owners had IGNORED her since November, allowed her to have kittens and complained she didn't use the litter tray (although according to the home it was they never cleaned it as she was fine with the tray at the home.) Anyway the owners were getting divorced so no longer wanted the cat and gave her into the rescue. Oh yes and she's terribly small and underweight due to them not feeding her properly.
Anyway, the upshot is....................... We are collecting her this afternoon!:yea: :yea: :yea: Can't wait to get her home.
Is amazing how a cat treated that badly can still have so much love to give to a human.
An 11th animal to add to our house... The more the merrier I say!:)
