View Full Version : Wondering about a change of lifestyle

Hello, first a little about myself: I grew up on a small tribal island after my parents decided to turn to a simpler way of life, but life there wasn't that simple. It was very primitive, and though my parents were accomplished doctors, the people turned to their rituals for healing and such. They had several rituals, some rarer than others, but one of the more usual ones is very frowned upon in normal life. My parents willingly took part in the ritual, and forced me as well. At the time I was too young to know what I was doing. When the rest of my family found out they had me removed from the island and implanted into normal society. That was when I was thirteen, I'm twenty-eight now.

The ritual was cannibalism.

Now I find myself battling cravings, of which I had no idea of what. But I brought it up with my family and let me in on my horrible past. Maybe it's just all in my head? Maybe it isn't, but I can't help it. I look at people see only a meal. I wouldn't even know where to begin with them, but all these happenings in Germany help to only bolster my hunger.

I want to switch to a life of veganism, and put all this behind me. I don't want to eat people, but the urge is eating me. I'm probably going to need a lot of help, but what are the first steps to stopping my craving for flesh?

Hello, cnbl2001. I extend a cordial welcome to you.

I, too, have indulged in cannabilism. Unlike you, I was an adult and embraced the culture freely and willingly. There is nothing quite like the succulent flesh of a human baby. But, in time, I came to realise that what I was doing was wrong. I found that converting to veganism helped my cravings to vanish. I only get my old urges if I eat beetroot. Beetroot juice looks so much like blood. In fact, just writing about it is giving me ideas so I had better stop.

So, adopt a vegan diet immediately, but avoid beetroot - unless you are first locked in a secure room. Good luck.

Regards,

Hannibal.

Does anyone know, do French and Italian people taste of garlic? I've never eaten one.

Exactly.

For those of you who are not multi-linguists like what I am, and who don't speak Bulgarian, I will translate:

Shoot mean coppers but his clever aunt knocks milk. I roll my own in August.

The next two lines are too shocking to translate. But the message ends with:

I'm leaving you all halting serfs.

No, doesn't ring a bell. I haven't watched TOTP since Vera Lynn had a hit with We'll Meet Again.

But I went to youtube and listened there. You have to get up very early in the morning to catch me out.

Now Martin, what is the significance or relevance (if indeed there is any) of a chef smiley, here?!

Uh oh - isn’t this call for an ‘inappropriate use of smilie’ alert?! :bigredbutton:

Thanks Petie, but I think I like Gliondrach's interpretation better, especially the part about rolling his own in August. Very intriguing. :shovel:

Erm, Janet - there are some smileys that are definitely a lot better without sound,
and I’m quite thankful aren’t Scratch ’N Sniff smileys, either . . . :fart:= :yuck: :faint:

Erm, no - I was going more for smileys that would have a sound to them, if they had sound . . .
If those were Scratch ’N Sniff, I know I certainly wouldn’t be scratching them! :yuck:

:poop: This one would be going "zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz" on account of the flies, and :skunk: he is making a nice spraying noise, like an atomiser, and probably laughing maniacally. :p

Yes almost as soon as he arrived. He's left us an entertaining legacy though. :agree:
