I'll start off by saying I eat way too much. I'm working on it though. All measurements are approximate.

Breakfast:
1 cup organic steel cut oats with an organic chopped pink lady apple, tablespoon of organic blueberries and a tablespoon of agave syrup (this was the most perfect oatmeal combination I ever tried, tasted like apple pie for some reason)
cup of organic russian caravan tea with a splash of organic soymilk

Snack:
Leftover blue corn nachos from the night before with organic spinach and vegan gourmet mozarella, maybe 1/2 cup total for everything
cup of coffee (black)

Lunch:
1 1/2 cups of decadent cheezy pasta (recipe posted on this site)

Snack:
6 amaranth crackers with organic peanut butter (total pb about 1 tablespoon) and 1 tablespoon ricemellow creme

Dinner (most likely):
4 baked falafels made from mix and drizzled with 1-2 tablespoons tahini
1/2 cup raw, organic sauerkraut
maybe some salad
pot of orange detox tea

Drank about 48oz of water so far, maybe more.

Just had the last cup of orange/red lentil/carrot/kale soup that I made a few days ago.

Today I had more tofu than I'd like to have, but other than that it was a good day:
homemade whole wheat bagel with apricot butter, scrambled tofu with pickled okra, strawberries, and "hot chocolate" with cocoa powder, powdered soymilk, and protein powder, mixed with water and heated; an orange; tofu with lots of hotsauce and bread and butter pickles on homemade whole wheat bread with grey poupon, raw brussel sprouts, and raw bellpepper, and almonds; some chili and another orange; tofu with sauteed leeks and tomatoes (sooo good) with brown rice, a hunk of crusty bread, and steamed broccoli; not sure if I'm going to have anything else tonight :eat: :D

Healthy enough? I eat a lot of snacks. I get hungry every 1-2 hours...does that mean I have a fast metabolism??

* Means organic, trying to get more organic foods in. Sadly, it's not even near all organic. It's just so expensive! Hopefully it will be cheaper in Toronto (more demand).

Breakfast
1 buckwheat waffle* with syrup
1 piece of sprouted grain toast* with fruit spread (naturally lower in sugar than jam)
Cup of tea

Lunch
Crispy fried tofu* over rice with soy sauce and plum sauce

Afternoon snacks, not all at once
Salad: baby greens*, tomato, red pepper, green onion, Italian dressing
Bowl of fruit salad
A couple of squares of dark chocolate*
Half a coconut bar*
Bowl of dry cereal

Supper
Veggie burger* (well, partially organic) with mustard
Cup of soup

Evening snacks, not all at once
Cup of tea
And...more food which I haven't figured out yet. I feel like a baked potato with vegan sour cream!

I've been eating at least 1 or 2 meals a day that are raw. And I lost 7lbs since last Wednesday! :yea:

Breakfast today: raw hummus (this (http://www.thenakedvegan.net/showthread.php?p=39175#post39175) recipe) spread on raw red cabbage leaves, cup of tea w/ soymilk, banana

Anticipated eats for rest of day:

Lunch:carrot sticks, celery sticks and raw kale dipped into raw 'refried' beans, leftover apple crisp (not horribly unhealthy, the entire 9X9 serving dish had 2 tablespoons canola oil and 1 cup sugar-rest of ingredients are apples, flax seed, oatmeal)
Snack: tea, kiwi, tangerine, pear

Dinner: green salad w/ red pepper and olives, spanikopita. I'll probably have a bite of the chocolate cake as well but I'm not a huge fan of chocolate cake.

Breakfast: fruit bowl w/ 1 tangerine, 1 banana, 1 medium apple, and about 8 grapes of which 4 were pilfered by my children. Tea w/ soymilk

Snack: Salad made w/ cucumbers, green beans, sun dried tomatoes, olives in a homemade vinagrette. Yerba mate tea.

Lunch: bowl of homemade soup consisting of homemade roasted vegetable stock, kale, green beans, and rice noodles. Also had about 1/2 cup of leftover homemade mujadara (lentils and brown rice w/ carmelized onions :yum:).

Snack: tea w/ soymilk, raw 'pasta' (thinly sliced zucchini marinated in olive oil, salt and lemon juice topped with marinara consisting of pureed sun dried tomatoes, tomatoe, basil, garlic, salt and olive oil), 2 organic hard candies (for my throat) and 1 dark chocolate earth ball.

Estimated Dinner: Can't think of what to have. I'll probably make grilled vegan cheeze sandwiches using the rest of the Cheezly I have for the kids and Mr. TVT but I'm not in the mood for that. Maybe steamed green peas and baby onions.

Actual Dinner: 1 bowl of kale, some raw and some baked. 1 piece of Ezekiel bread grilled w/ olive oil and sliced Cheezly. Later: 1 bowl of corn flakes w/ soymilk, 2 hemp pretzels and 1 bite of chocolate cake. Not the best night. :(

 I ordered 3 packets from Vegan Essentials a few months ago. They sell the mature cheddar and mozarella now. It was pricey and while I did enjoy the Cheezly, I don't think I'll order again. I'm over any need for vegan cheeze.

I'm still doing relatively well with healthy eating though some days are worse than others. This weekend, I had way too many carbohydrates in the form of whole/wheat spelt biscuits (homemade) and chickpea cutlets. I seem to find it easier to eat raw during the workweek. I weighed myself this morning, I'm down another pound to a total of 15lbs.

Morning: 1 small apple, orange, 15 organic peanuts, 15 raw mixed nuts, few ounces of grape kombucha, tea, water, 1/2 cup of raw kale/pea/corn/avocado salad, 1 cup of leftover stiry-fry (sauteed in water) containing: carrots, green beans, celery, bean sprouts, shallot, ginger, garlic, red chili paste, chickpeas, quinoa and 1 teaspoon of peanut butter

Afternoon: 2 cups of the kale salad, 1 dried fig, tea, water and will have an apple later

Tonight: :rubchin: I'm thinking roasted vegetable ravioli and some peas.

Updated to add: I ate way too many nuts yesterday afternoon and dinner was a bowl of Mac Daddy (vegan mac n cheese from Veganomicon) with kale. Also had 1 square of dark chocolate.

I didn't eat too well today. Yesterday was even worse.

Today:
Morning: green tea, smoothie w/ almond milk, banana, frozen blueberries and frozen peach though Ben drank most of the smoothie, another banana, orange, mango slices and canteloupe slices, black tea w/ soymilk

Lunch: I feasted on takeout Indian food. Masala dosa then a mini-thali w/ chapati, rice, and assorted pulses and veggy dishes. All small amounts but alot of food.

Snack: tea w/ soymilk, 3 squares of dark chocolate w/ cherries and almonds, 2 chocolate chip cookies

Dinner: I'd like to eat raw but I think we're out of raw veggies, just some tired red cabbage and carrots. Maybe steamed frozen veggies and beans (from a tin).

Cranberry and raspberry juice drink with Floradix.
Pasta with tomato, spinach and onion sauce. One quarter of an avocado.
Seven lychees. One cup of Yogi liqorice tea.
A few beetroot crisps.
African spice rooibos tea with rice milk.

I'm finding it hard to eat raw now. Snowy weather makes me crave carbs, particularly bread. I keep on trying.

Morning: banana, 2 oranges, cup of yerba mate tea and some walnuts in a few.

Snack: Salad made w/ red swiss chard, red onion, zucchini, tomato, garlic, lemon juice, nama shoyu and olive oil. Cup of russian caravan tea

Lunch: raw lasagna made w/ pine nut/macademia nut cheeze, sundried tomato/roma tomato basil marinara layered with baby spinach and zucchini 'noodles'.

Snack: apple, probably a few lemonsnaps

Dinner: Roasted broccoli, cauliflower, potatoes and carrots w/ toast

Yesterday:
Steamed broccoli.
Bowl of lentil soup with lemon juice and one chopped carrot and coriander sausage.
Hummus and raw spinach sandwich on wholemeal bread.
Two clementines. One cup of chamomile and limeflower tea.
One cup of African spice rooibos tea.
One fried mashed potato cake with ketchup.
One cup of rooibos tea.
Bowl of lentil soup with lemon juice and two chopped carrot and coriander sausages.

Not too unhealthy, I think. It only came to about 1100 calories though. I think I shall have to make sure I put some more food in my tummy today :eat:.

I think I shall have to make sure I put some more food in my tummy today :eat:.

That plan didn't work out too well.

Three small snack balls I made out rolled oats, peanut butter, chopped dates and orange juice.
One clementine.
One cup of rooibos tea.
Steamed peas and carrots and one spear of steamed broccoli.

Edit: I had a Linda McCartney pie too. So that's a bit better.

Eating only one spear of broccoli wasn't really my choice, my family had scarfed the rest before I got to it.

I'm having a bit of trouble with my attitude towards food at the moment :s:igh:. I end up feeling greedy and worrying that I'm going to balloon if I eat a "normal" amount.

As long as you are eating primarily whole foods (fruit, veg, nuts, rice etc..), your weight will be fine. It's the processed crap that puts on the pounds. Both myself and a friend have been eating alot of raw food, including alot of nuts which are high fat/high calorie, and we aren't gaining weight, I'm actually losing.

raw, organic chocolate-coconut bar (bought at the health food store during my lunch hour. Really good!) + coffee w/ unsweetened soymilk

Anticipated eats:

Lunch: salad made w/ butter lettuce, 2 chopped carrots, 2 chopped roma tomatoes, 2 chopped raw chayote served with homemade raw cesaer dressing.

Afternoon: orange, tea

Dinner: veggy burger, baked potato, spinach

Snack: salt & vinegar crisps

I decided I wanted the kids eating more leafy greens. Sarah loves sauteed kale and garlic but Ben prefers raw veggies. They've been getting about 1/2 cup a day of either raw swiss chard, raw kale or raw baby spinach and it has been going over very well. They already eat raw carrots, cucumbers, celery, apples, oranges, avocado, bananas, grapes, cherries and pears. I wanted to increase their leafy greens. I'm so glad they like that food. I think alot of their joy in healthy eating is that they see me and Mr TVT eat the same. They also aren't poisoned by television commercials where vegetables are non-existent with kid meals.

Almost end of day, so EDITED...

Mmm, I'm a rather pig-ish vegan, so my lists of food might get quite long... :P :D

Woke up to two 'Rusk' biscuits, which I dipped in Soya Milk - they were yummy!

I also drank some Strawberry Soya Milk, which I found out that I don't like, so more fool me! And a little glass of Cranberry Juice!

For lunch I had some New Potatoes, a raw Carrot, and a roast Parsnip...and I had tomato Ketchup with the Potatoes, because I am a ketchup fiend!

I washed this down with a glass and a half of water, and followed it up with a chocolate Soya yoghurt. Yum!

Four-ish...

Gobbled down a few forkfuls of an Innocent Veg Pot, which I am savouring, as it is delicious!

With it I had half a cup of Lemon and Lime Tea, which was nice and warming!

Five-ish...

Apple and one and a half glasses of water...Mmm.

Six-ish...

More water, plus Soya Banana-Milk, which kicks butt!

Seven Thirty...

Gave in to wild side and played with mother's blender...perhaps not the best idea in forever, kitchen may never recover :P I made Strawberry and Banana Smoothie with Soya Milk; 'twas yummy, but perhaps too much banana and too little strawberry. I had about half a glass, before getting a terrible idea in my head, which was that it'd go amazingly well with Coco powder in it - which it didn't, so don't do that :P

Was so depressed about ruining the lovely smoothie that I had to go finish the Innocent Veg Pot - which was yummy, and drink lots of water. Woo.

Methinks that may be it for tonight...

For din dins I will have either toast or my usual veggie stew. This will be spuds, carrots and Brussels' sprouts. And the new gravy powder I used for the first time last week. It's called The Natuarally Good Vegetable Gravy Powder. I stir it in after the veggies are cooked. Very nice.

Banana, water, and 20ml of Acai Berry Juice for breakie.

Apple for a snack

Ten water biscuits dipped in Weightwatcher's veggie soup for lunch...yumm.

Soya Chocolate yoghurt for a snack. Mmmm.

Small Bowl of Rice with Tomato Ketchup for din dins.

Two Rusk biscuits dipped in Hot Chocolate (Made with Soya Milk!) for another snack. Yummm.

A Wheatabix thingie for more snackage. No snacky fruit left but bananas, and methinks I shouldn't have one before bed as they might make me a tad bit energetic...

Not much fruit and veg today *sad face* But had lots of lovely cool water all the way through ^_^

Gliondrach
10-12-2009, 02:35 PM

What happens to the tea you dunk your biscuits in?

FatPassionFishPoet
10-12-2009, 03:17 PM
Nope. Never liked it. I'm...actually one of these really, really annoyingly fussy people.

No way! Not the dreaded Chamomile! :P My brother and mother love that stuff, but I can't stand it :P Haha. Never tried it with Soya milk though? Maybe it tastes nice with that...I'll have to try it sometime, Soya milk seems to work wonders with things for me at the moment :D

Um...I'd like to say it goes to some wonderful cause, but unfortunately nobody I know likes sugar-free tea with soya...so it generally ends up down the drain...

But hey! At least I don't spit it at people! :D

(..though this is subject to change if people don't get off my poor vegan 'how do you get your calories' back...)

Gliondrach
10-12-2009, 04:22 PM
Soya in chamomile takes away the bitterness or sharpness. I forget which as I haven't had it without soya for years. Soya also improves the taste of nettle.

Some people deserve having tea spat at them.

FatPassionFishPoet
10-13-2009, 09:42 AM

Mm, I suppose here I should actually write something relevant to the thread, so here goes:

Today:

20ml Acai Berry Juice. Water. Vitamin Pills (Yay)

Late breakfast of a banana

Lunch was eight cute little water biscuit cracker things with a slice of fake burger cheese stuff, and a mini nut wafer thingie :D

*Insert drinking of water*

Annnd just got home and had a scrumptious glass of strawberry and banana smoothie made with almond milk - why have I never had almond milk before?!?!?! It's lovely!

Umm, might have more to eat later, probably, perhaps, mmm.

10-13-2009, 10:44 AM
I'll be having veggie stew soon-ish. I'll put the onion and potatoes in the pan to cook first. After about 5 minutes I'll turn the gas off and leave them to continue cooking in the hot water. Then I'll add a carrot and some Brussels' sprouts and turn the gas back on for 5 minutes. Then stir in some gravy powder. I will then spread marg and tahini on 3 slices of wholemeal bread and make sandwiches with the stew mixture. I eat the remainder of the stew straight from the pan. Saves on washing up. I just need to wash the pan, and the wooden spoon I eat the stew with. The plate that the bread was on just needs the crumbs dusted off and it'll ready for toast tomorrow morning.

Then I'll have 3 Brazil nuts and some raisins, and an apple. And 2 cups of Earl Grey tea with soya milk.

FatPassionFishPoet
10-13-2009, 10:53 AM
Yummm, veggie stew sounds good! I must seriously work on my cooking skill(z) which, at the moment, are equal to simply heating things up in the microwave; and sticking faluffle under the grill. Oh, and rice; rice, I can do :D

Mmm. I'll add corn on the cob with some spread and ketchup to my list, since I just had that for din dins. 'Twas delicious. Methinks my daily intake of ketchup, however, is very possibly equal to my five a day at the moment, so I should probably have a ketchup fast or something :(

Gliondrach
10-13-2009, 11:03 AM

Gliondrach

It no longer exists.

It was disbanded after a bitter dispute between two factions of the circle. It all started one evening when we were darning and discussing the role that occult societies have played in world history. One faction claimed that Hitler had been influenced by the Thule Society and the other faction claimed that he had actually been a follower of the Order of the Golden Dawn and that he was also heavily influenced by the writings of Annie Besant. The discussion became heated and things turned nasty. Darning needles can be lethal weapons and some of us needed hospital treatment. I escaped with just a couple of stab wounds to my rear, sustained when I tried to flee up the stairs to safety.

....kinda wondering if they're RAW? Am thinking of doing the thirty day challenge, and perhaps changing lifestyle again - just want to see the look on my mother's face :p

Mmmm.

Foodwise, today:

20ml Acai Berry Juice

Brekkie: One Wheatabix thingie

Lunch/Snack: Salad made of chickpeas, sweetcorn, lettice, cucumber, and tomato. Yum. Plus water. Mm.

Snack: One peice Rivita (woo) with vegan cottage cheese on top. Mmmmm and a half. Rediculously nice. Kinda think I have a massive love of rather bland foods, maybe, I am the only person I know that can eat that stuff...like ricecakes too...Yumm.

EDIT:

Dindins: New potatoes and ketchup...nom.

And hot chocolate. Mm. This is possibly the best vegan-friendly hot chocolate I've made. I've used Soya milk, Almond milk, and this time I used rice, which I think goes best with the brand of hot chocolate cocoa stuff I've been using :p

Music room? Is that the one next to the library, down the corridor from the billiard room, just below the butler's flat and directly above the wine cellar? Or is it the one opposite the ballroom? Couldn't you ring for the scullery maid to bring it?

FatPassionFishPoet
10-17-2009, 03:57 AM

...I jest...I jest...

Every single person in our family is musical, so it made sense to have a room dedicated to the art :p It's supposed to double as a guest room; but I'm the only one that has people to stay. It's soundproof so when I have sleepovers they stick us in there and nobody can hear us from the outside. It's kickass.

We DO have a celler, actually, which we recently discovered :D (It's a new-ish house) but we don't use it... ...and I, personally, have a library...but it's basically the m-room attic stuffed with tons of books (I've been collecting since I was a little kid :p)

Shame about them being pulled down! I love old buildings, they just look fantastic! Plus it's just so interesting to see how people lived in the past! I always liked going to older buildings and pretending I was from the different eras, ahahaa.

Foodwise:

Mm, snacked on a few peices of sweetcorn when I was making a salad, but was rather dissopointed to find they weren't as nice as the normal green giant bits I get...but these were raw, so meh...I'll adjust. Hopefully they'll taste awesome in the salad I made for this week!

Also had half a (massive) bowl of porridge made from rice milk and very cheap oats, aha. 'Twas really nice, actually, but I was surprised to find it so filling! Think I will make a half portion next time, since whole portions are apparently H-U-G-E(!) and just eat more fruit if I'm still hungry afterwards. Was wondering if anyone else makes porriage and puts anything in it, or on it? Maple syrup or raisons or something?

In one old house I found a gas mask from the War. I don't know what I did with it. We used to take floor boards, chairs, settees and doors from the houses in the days leading up to Bonfire Night.

--------------

I had toast but I put slightly cooked tomatoes on top with cheezly and extra virgin olive oil. I cooked the tomatoes in a little bit of water until they were soft. The water had almost disappeared.

Porridge is nice with sliced banana. Raisins are nice, too. Or a few chopped nuts.

...Oh Em Gee: Bonfire Night! Almost forgot! I love Bonfire Night! Can't believe it's so close!

Yum! Sounds good! And I shall try porridge suggestions at some point...I have some raisons and nuts and bananas around here somewhere...

EDIT:

Mm, Sundays are weird days with a 'real' lunchtime. V. Annoying. Also, am trying to cut down on carbs, since I've been eating a stupid amount of them, oh dear...

Brekkie:

20ml Acai Berry Juice
1 Glass Water
A Pear

Lunchtime:

One Piece Melon
Bowl of Strawberries (Love, love, love)
Banana (Latest obsession)
2 Glasses of Water.

Was going to make it all into a smoothie with Rice Milk...but am trying to be as RAW as possible at the moment...also...don't have much Rice Milk left and kinda want hot chocolate later (v.un-raw, but I'm easing myself into it :p)

I'm a high carb - especially starchy carb - man. That's most likely what made us into modern humans. Even more so when we learnt to cook tubers and other starchy things. Many human groups have extra copies of an enzyme gene variant for breaking down starch into sugars. Many more than do apes. It's usually the meat eating specialists, like Eskimos, who don't have as many copies.

I had a veggie stew today. Two small potatoes, one large carrot, six medium Brussels' sprouts and one tomato. With three slices of bread and tahini. Some raisins and three Brazil nuts. Two cups of tea with soya milk.

The same as yesterday for me, so far. Might make a veggie stew later. Or tomatoes and cheezly on toast.

FatPassionFishPoet
10-22-2009, 07:16 AM
Mmm.

Today:

20ml Acai Berry Juice
One Glass Water

Whole Melon (yes, a whole one...)

Last of my Strawberries (*sobs*)

Bowl of Soy-Custard

All washed down with five glasses of water...

Gliondrach
10-22-2009, 12:08 PM
Was that for breakfast or the whole day?

I had slightly cooked tomatoes with cheezly on toast yesterday. Tahini on the toast and olive oil poured on top. I was half-way through it when I realised I hadn't put any cheezly on.

So I had the same today and made sure the cheezly was added. I had 5 Brazil nuts, 6 almonds and some raisins afterwards. About 87 raisins.

Whole day. I don't really do 'meal times' usually. I just eat whatever, whenever...

Drinking five glasses of water for brekkie would probably be the death of me...

I had veggie stew yesterday. Very tasty. :yum:

Will be having slightly cooked tomatoes and cheezly on toast soon. Lots of tahini on the toast and extra virgin olive oil on the tomatoes. And then some nuts and raisins and a couple of nice cuppas.

How like real cheese does Cheezly taste?

Gliondrach
10-26-2009, 03:37 PM
I haven't had any real cheese since years before you were born but it tastes authentic to me. And I let my neighbours try some a few years ago and they thought it tasted like cheese.

FatPassionFishPoet
10-27-2009, 02:30 AM
Hmmm, I need to get hold of some...I used to love cheese...a tad bit too much... mmm.

Gliondrach
10-27-2009, 04:35 AM
You'll be able to get some at Chez Heather when you go there. I think she owns the company that makes it. It'll be in the cheeze pasties, if they have such things.

On day, I'd like to make a cheeze flan. With tofu in place of egg. A cheeze and tofu flan, with that nice crumbly pastry. All I need now is an oven that works.

FatPassionFishPoet
10-27-2009, 12:05 PM
Ooh, I had no idea O_o Well, next time I go, that'll be the first thing I eat! :p

Cheezly Flan sounds amazing....if you make one, you'll have to post the recipe :D

Mmm, me, today:

20ml Acai Berry Juice
Water
Strawberry Water
Soy Spaghetti Bolognese
Water
Slushy
Few bites of Vegan Cupcakes
Half a Banana

Feel so ill....bolognese sooo good, but soo much of it, was sooo filling xD Aha.

Gliondrach

Serves you right. Moderation in all things. Except good things. And things you don't want to be moderate about.

FatPassionFishPoet
10-27-2009, 12:35 PM
It was good though! And not the sort of thing you want to be moderate about!

Plus it was from the kids menu xD So it wasn't even supposed to be big...but it was...massive bowl, v.silly :p

Gliondrach
10-27-2009, 12:41 PM
I'm going to make my famous slightly cooked tomatoes with cheezly on toast that is spread with tahini, soon. I wonder if Heather M. would be interested in the recipe? It could be a winner there.

gabbles
10-28-2009, 03:49 AM
I tried it. Quite nice. I think I'll try lightly sauteeing the tomatoes. :chef:

FatPassionFishPoet
10-28-2009, 11:03 AM
I think she would be :p ...if it tastes good?

Have tried Cheezly! Discovered that it's the cheese my brother has been using (he's allergic to milk) and I had no idea! I wasn't overly impressed, to be honest, but I think if you put it on toast, or into something, it'd taste good...mm..might try different types of the stuff....the Edam one looks good :D

Mm,
Food, today:

20ml Acai Berry Juice
A Pear
Mini Pretzals
Seaweed Crackers
Pistachio Nuts
Grapes
Piece of Pinapple
Some Choclate Cupcake
Lots of Water

Mm.

Gliondrach
10-28-2009, 11:41 AM
Cheezly's nice on toast. Or in cheezly and onion sandwiches.

Your cupcakes will have all gone soon.

Will be having my famous cheezly and toms on toast soon. Need to finish the cheezly off because it can get mould on it after it's been open too long. I wonder if the mould would make it like those cheeses that have mould in them?

FatPassionFishPoet
10-29-2009, 02:28 AM
Mmm, will try that soon :p

Really actually want to try fake bacon sandwiches too O_o Apparently they're really good...

...I know :( But I LOVE them...I must steal the recipe...
...or just find an excuse to go back over to Brighton and get some more :p :D

Ew. Nooo, mouldy cheese is not good!

Gliondrach
10-29-2009, 11:09 AM
Don't health food shops sell these fake bacon slices and chicken things?

FatPassionFishPoet
10-29-2009, 02:28 PM
Mm, I do believe so. We're going to go searching for them down town tomorrow, so we shall find out :p I think I've seen them in Sainsburys before...or maybe Tescos...luckily both are pretty near with Holland and Barrett right in the middle, so we can look in all three :D Dad and I are thinking of trying to make the ultimate vegan breakfast sandwhich/bagel with Tofu/Bacon/Mushrooms/salady bits/etc. Yum :D Maybe he'll end up converted to our ways...or at least the vegetarian way, since giving up kitKats might be just a little too much to ask :p

Mm. Food today:

20ml Acai Berry Juice
Water
Half a Banana
Mini Pretzal/Seaweed Cracker/Pistachio Nut Mixture
Half a Banana
Water
Bits of Pinapple
Bit of Cupcake (only one left now...might cry when it's gone...)
Hot Chocolate
2 Rusk Biscuits
Water

Mmmm. Love food.

Just toast for me today. And some nuts, raisins and apples. And cups of tea. And one of cocoa.

I tried the fishless fingers once. When I was a young lad, my favourite meal was fish fingers, peas and mashed potato. I used to cut the fish fingers into small pieces then mix everything together in one lump. I tried that with the fishless fingers. They weren't bad - but not very fishy.

FatPassionFishPoet
10-30-2009, 10:35 AM
They weren't bad - but not very fishy.

Haha! That's almost exactly what my mother said :p

Mmm, food, today, am being a pig ...not even any fruit :o:o

20ml Acai Berry
Water
Vitamin Pills
Glass Chocolate Soy Milk
1 Rusk Biscuit and Hot Chocolate
Mini Pretzals
Chocolate Milk
Water
Strawberry Water
Fake Sausage Roll (so, SO good!)

...not necessarily in that order, methinks. Can't quite remember. Bloody yummy though :D

Just realised that Acai Berry is fruit. Woo. One a day. Score.

Totally emancipated all my vegan 'crap' from the main kitchen today, I practically have my own, which is pretty awesome :p Will fill it up tomorrow on Shopping Day(!) :D :p Excited.....

Gliondrach
10-30-2009, 12:43 PM
Is the ersatz sausage roll a sosmix one?

You really need to have the occasional cuppa.

FatPassionFishPoet
10-30-2009, 12:49 PM
Mmm, maybe? Sounds about right. 90p from Holland and Barrett? Aha. Those ones :P Was taking advantage of their buy one get one half price scheme today!

And NEVER! Hot Chocolate only...

Gliondrach
10-30-2009, 12:55 PM
I was in Holand and Barrett. I didn't see you there. Bought two jars of tahini. But I always buy two jars to save me going too often.

FatPassionFishPoet
10-30-2009, 01:21 PM
Ahhh right :p

Aaha, I usually buy less of everything so I can go MORE often! :D Ha!

Spending way too much money at the moment though...plus the BIG shop is tomorrow :D

Gliondrach
10-30-2009, 04:10 PM
I try to avoid going to town on Saturdays. Especially as Christmas approaches.

Had tomatoes on toast for dindins. Wish I'd bought some cheezly.

Thick lentil soup and bread for dinner. :yum: And two bananas.

FatPassionFishPoet
10-31-2009, 01:55 AM
Mm, I usually try to, but it's kinda difficult to me. Plus dad was going over to work today, so I thought I'd hitch a lift to the next town over and look round the massive Sainsburys. They've stopped selling my favourite vegan mint chocolate in Tescos, so I'm hoping and praying that this Sainsburys might still sell it. If they don't, you may see me on the news, getting done for murder.

FatPassionFishPoet
10-31-2009, 07:44 AM
Mmm. Seriously good shopping this morning, might end up eating strawberries all week though. Treat box now absolutely stuffed. Mmmmm.

Went to an Oriental shop on the way into town to get lovely hair stuff, and discovered how AMAZING it is! So many vegan things! And SO cheap! And I finally found Coconut Milk in there! Brilliant! Am going back down later with enough money to stock up my cupboard with awesome Asian foods...YUM! So excited! My kitchen is pretty much full to bursting, but I couldn't care less...food. Is. So. Good. They even have vegan mock duck! Woo!

Mmm, foodwise today:

20ml Acai Berry Juice
Vitamin Pills
Chocolate Soy Milk
2 Bites Chocolate Cupcake (almost all gone now, noo! Methinks another visit to Brighton is due!)
A Fake Cornish Pastie (Holland and Barrett kick ass - love sales!)

Mmm, I'm going to assume now that I'll eat Strawberries, Banana and Seaweed Crackers for dinner, washed down with water and plenty of Alcohol. Yum, and horrah! for two parties per night.

Is anyone having Hallowe'en-type food today? Pumpkin soup. Pumpkin pie. Pumpkin sandwiches.

FatPassionFishPoet
10-31-2009, 10:07 AM
Haha, that sounds amazing!

Not moi, but I did buy a pumpkin! Must work out what to do with it very soon...perhaps roast pumpkin tomorrow? Or pumpkin soup...mmm.

Gliondrach
10-31-2009, 01:38 PM
I've never had pumpkin.

And I haven't had much to eat today. Will have some toast and marmalade soon.

FatPassionFishPoet
11-01-2009, 05:52 AM
I shall suggest that to mother :D She has taken on the task of working out what to make with it - if I tried it'd be a shambles...

Mm, last night ended up having:

Couple of Strawberries,
Seaweed Cracker, Mini Pretzal, Pistachio Nut Mix,
Bite of a 'Naked Bar' - 'Twas Gross,
A Fortune Cookie,
A Dairy Free Chocolate Bar,
Couple of spoonfuls of Kiwi,
2 Borbons
2 Glasses Water,
Smirnoff.

Was rediculously hungry all night >_>

So far today:

Small piece of Porkless Pie,
Vitamins,
20ml Acai Berry,
Chocolate Soy Milk,
Water,
Hot Chocolate with 2 Rusks dipped in it.
Handful of Mini Pretzals
Water
2 Oreos
Mmm.

Gliondrach
11-01-2009, 08:41 AM

FatPassionFishPoet
11-02-2009, 01:04 AM
It did ;)

Not much else did though. Had massive cravings all evening and banished them by eating myself into a stomach ache. Ouch.

No more un-vegany cravings though this morning, so it's all good :]]

Having a dairy-free choco bar for breakfast probably wasn't the smartest idea though.

Just toast today. And nuts and raisins.

Just have to say that I had the yummiest wrap earlier!

1 wrap filled with lettace, tomato, cucumber, and falufel (sp?) ....so good...

oh, and I had some ketchup with it, because I'm obsessed, and it tastes SO GOOD!

And I mixed fak-o cottage cheese with the rest of the falufel, because that's also delicious :p :D Wooo....

Ordered a couple of Twilight bars, Jokerz bars, and buccaneer bars earlier from the vegan store, and I am SOOOOO looking foward to trying them....

FatPassionFishPoet

Have calmed down now ^_^ Have lived off cereal today though, which probably isn't good O_o

Have to say though, just read 'Skinny Bitch', and my views on food and life in general have completely changed. If I wasn't vegan before reading it, it certainly would have made me a vegan, I'm going to reccomend it to absolutely everyone now...

I feel like I eat more than everyone else o.o lol
I try to adhere to a very "natural" way of eatting - (though I think in essense everyone does lol) - as in - I'm not counting calories or whatever fad diets are out there - just limiting the amount of processed foods and pretty much eatting HEALTHY (I mean a vegan diet is pratically healthy as it is - but of course there are plenty of vegan things out there are aren't quite so good for you - ex: potato chips). I also eat when I'm hungry - and not STARVING hungry - but like hte first few pangs of hunger - and I don't eat till I'm ripping out of my pants - just about 70-80% fullness (which is actually a custom that is praticed in Japan) So I eat lighter meals - but throughout the day

Today's Food-Ness:

Breakfast - Chinese Pear with Almond Milk and Cereal (I'm trying to cut back on cereal - a lot of it has a loto f refined sugar in it - but I have BOXES of it lying around and I'd rather eat it then throw it out)

Snack - Rice Cake with Jam

Lunch - A little less than one cup of brown rice with some smashed up avocado

Snack - Toast (Whole wheat) with some lettuce and tomato on top

Dinner - Seitan (2 slabs) with my veggie casserole (1 cup) (tomatoes, onions, scallions, eggplant, zucchini...and I'm pretty sure I'm missing another veggie or two in there lol)
