TAFA 2005 (https://community.hsus.org/ct/DdzvpeM1uXWn/) YOU'RE INVITED!
Dear Laura:
As a member of our online community, you've shown your commitment to helping animals. Together, we've persuaded companies to change their policies and legislators to enhance and enforce laws that affect animals. Just last week, the U.S. House of Representatives passed the Pets Evacuation and Transportation Standards Act (PETS Act), critical legislation that will protect pets during natural disasters -- the latest example of our collective clout.
So I’d like to personally invite you to a conference we’ve created especially for people like you. It’s called Taking Action for Animals (https://community.hsus.org/ct/D1zvpeM1uXWh/). Held during Labor Day weekend in Washington, D.C., this unique conference will motivate and inspire you, and give you practical advocacy skills to help you put your compassion into action. It’s a joint program of The Humane Society of the United States and a coalition of like-minded animal advocacy groups.
This year's event will build upon the success of the 2005 inaugural conference. You'll network with grassroots advocates and national leaders -- including Animal Liberation author Peter Singer and Mutts creator Patrick McDonnell -- as we celebrate recent victories and outline a vision for the future. The conference includes keynote speeches, training sessions and workshops, a Lobby Day on Capitol Hill, an exhibit hall, and social events.
The all-inclusive rate for the conference, including two lunches and a special banquet Sunday evening, is $125 before July 15. I encourage you to register online today (https://community.hsus.org/ct/K7zvpeM1uXWo/). Make your room reservation on or before August 14 and mention Taking Action for Animals to receive a special discounted rate.
Whether you’re a seasoned advocate looking to sharpen your skills or new to the animal protection movement and want to become involved, you will find that Taking Action for Animals (https://community.hsus.org/ct/D1zvpeM1uXWh/) will take your animal advocacy to a whole new level.
Thank you for all you do for animals every day. I hope to see you September 2-5 in Washington!
Sincerely,

Well, it would be nice to see Peter Singer. Animal Liberation is what made me go vegan.
