This is a slightly spicey grape juice that's very good for your skin. Some people might like it better over ice/crushed ice.
The measurements are approximate. Run through juicer.
4 cups green grapes (preferably with seeds)
1 large cucumber
1/2 bunch of watercress leaves (or 4 large Kale)
1/3 cup radishes
1 nob of ginger root
over crushed ice: :star: :star: :star: :star:

Run 1 ripe pear and a ripe peach/two small peaches through juicer. (Remember to not run the peach core through or it will damage your blades.)
Add to 1/3 part champagne, dry and chilled. (Or portion to your own taste; I don't like the alcohol taste to be very strong.)
Add the juice slowly -- it will bubble/fizz A LOT when you mix the champagne and juice. It creates a scrumptious froth. MMmmmm. :dribble:

Note: if you're switching a higher % of your diet to raw foods, you may want to consume much less alcohol than you are usually use to. You may find you hit the "buzz point" a lot sooner now. ;)

Rejuvelac
Preparation of Rejuvelac is simple, but it does take some time, so it must be made in advance. You will need a clean, wide-mouth jar, measuring one-half or one gallon; a piece of nylon mesh or cheesecloth; a supply of soft wheatberries (spring wheat); and a strong rubberband.
Fill the jar one-fourth full of wheatberries. Cover the mouth of the jar with nylon mesh or cheesecloth, and secure the mesh with a strong rubber band. Add enough spring or filtered water to fill the jar. Allow the wheatberries to soak for eight to ten hours, then drain them , rinse, and drain again. Place the jar at an angle so the berries continuously drain. Make sure that the wheatberries do not completely cover the mouth of the jar, because they will need ventilation. The wheatberries will start to sprout. Rinse them about two or three times a day during the sprouting stage. After two days, rinse the sprouted wheatberries thoroughly for the last time. Drain off the rinsing water, fill the jar to the top with spring or filtered water, and allow the sprouts to soak for forty-eight hours. At the end of this time, this soaking liquid is your first batch of Rejuvelac. Pour this off into another jar for immediate use or keep it in the refrigerator to slow down the fermentation process.
Refill the jar with the same amount of spring or filtered water to make your second batch of Rejuvelac. but this time soak the sprouts for only twenty-four hours. Pour off this second batch and refill the jar with the same amount of spring or filtered water to make the final batch of Rejuvelac. Again, soak the sprouts for only twenty-four hours. After you have made three batches, feed the spent wheatberries to the birds.
Good Rejuvelac is a cloudy, slightly yellow liquid with a tart, lemonade flavor. When it is fermented too long, it can become very sour. Since it is constantly fermenting, it is natural that tiny bubbles rise through the liquid occasionally. The very best Rejuvelac is in fact slightly carbonated. It is also natural for a layer of white foam to form on the top of the Rejuvelac. This is not harmful and can be used. Rejuvelac can be kept in the refrigerator for a few days to a week, as long as the taste is still agreeable with you. Drink Rejuvelac before or between meals to avoid diluting the digestive juices after a meal.

For information on how to grow Wheatgrass (top picture), click here (http://www.sproutpeople.com/seed/wheatgrass.html) for Sprout People's website.
Boni uses our Samson 6-in-1 juicer to extract juice from grown/cut wheatgrass (middle picture).
Depending on your juicer and how thick you grow the grass, depends on how much wheatgrass juice you'll extract from a tray of grass.

:blecch: I know wheatgrass is supposed to be superhealthy but I tried a shot once and thought I was going to projectile vomit in the store.

The first time I tried it I juiced it myself, and sipped it very slowly, mixing it well with my saliva, as would happen if I were chewing on grass to extract the juice. I never have any trouble with it this way. The flavor may take some getting used to, but there's no reason, unless you are undergoing serious wheatgrass juice intake for a health problem, why you can't add it to something else if the flavor bothers you. Most green juices must be taken in small amounts, mixed with other juices, as they are powerful.
We should probably have a juicing thread, too.

Sweet :) If you want this to be raw, use coconut water instead of milk and a few cacao beans instead of cocoa powder (pulverize them in the vitamix first then add other ingredients slowly.) I like it without banana and made with Brazil nut milk and a T or two of almond butter and mequite meal, to be a rich "milk shake".
