This is my little girl. :colors:

Her name was Angel. She was an angel by nature as well as name. :agree: She just loved water - it was her favorite thing in the world apart from me!

P.S. Thanks to Fauxmage and Oracl who patiently explained how to upload this photo.

Thank you Vegantwins. :nanakiss: She was the light of my life. :dancecat:

It doesn't really show in that photo, but Angel had the longest tail I've ever seen on a domestic feline. She had a fantastically fluffy tail like a squirrel.

Non-animal people just don't get it, when you lose a beloved companion animal, you feel like you lost a part of yourself. My dog, Archie, has been dead for almost 10 years and I still miss him and talk about funny things he used to do even to people who never met him.

Caveat: Not in a crazy, psychopathic way-just in a fond, rememberance way

No problem Phoenix! Its wonderful to see a picture of her. Seymour likes water too. I will have to get him on to see this. He's been very bad lately. . . :D

I still say goodnight to my bunny Stuart who is buried in the bottom of the garden every night when I lock the catflap. Will be lost when I move house next week as won't be able to call goodnight out in the garden to him.

I left so many behind when I had to move from our family home so my mom could sell it. :(:(:(

Angel was a real sweetie, Phoenix. :colors: I can see what you mean about her tail, it is a beauty. :)

I'm so glad you worked out how to post a picture. :agree:

My thoughts go out to all the other people here who are so obviously missing their old animal friends. :(

I totally agree. I know I've lost two bunnies in the past few years and I lost count of the people who said (something like) "why are you so upset, it's just a bunny!" Or when it comes to vet bills, people who say (something like), "why don't you just buy a new cat/dog/rabbit instead of spending all that money on vet bills?":hbang:

I offer my sympathy to all of you who have lost a beloved companion animal...I know how HARD that can be:bwah:

Thank you all for your kind words! You obviously all are all sensitive souls with an eye for beauty. :agree:

This photo was taken by my best friend ... when she saw Angel like that, she dubbed her "Miss Modesty".

Angel has been gone for nine years now ... and obviously I still talk about her in a fond, rememberance way, too. :agree:

Angel was a real smasher. I'll bet that she could be a bit of a devil, too. She's with all the other angels now. You'll meet her again, Phoenix.

I still miss my darling Mandy. She has been gone for 29 years. I still think about her every day. Sometimes I imagine her resting her head on my foot as I sit watching telly. I often recall how I used to fight with her. I would roll up a newspaper and hit her with it - softly of course. She would get a hold of it and shake it to death. A typical terrier.

Then there's Muhammad. He's been gone for 30 years. He was a pigeon. I used to fight with him, as well. He would bite the skin between my fingers and nip it really hard. He was really aggressive.

Awwwwwww, they sound like they were lovely companions Gliondrach. They sound like they were real characters.

I wish I could have known her. Do you think I will see Angel and my other kitty friends when I go to Heaven? I hope so. :cats: :cats: :cats:

I don't think the picture is too big. I think its just right. :smallheart:

Me too Seymour. We can all play in the fields together and there will be no such thing as cat fights, and we could snuggle up on cushions that were sooooooo soft.

She certainly is a beautiful Angel, Phoenix.

Many, many years from now hopefully you'll all meet up in heaven and be the best of friends. (I'm sure Angel would have liked you both.) :agree:

I'm so sorry that you had to move from your family home:( Was it unexpected? Were you able to find good homes for your furbabies?

Sorry, dreamer, I meant the ones buried in the back yard. The live ones are with me on the boat still! I'd go homeless before I would give them up. If they had decent backgrounds, and I were really in a desperate situation, I would try to find them something better. But my current family have all been rejected and abandoned before, except Seymour, who is feral, and they probably wouldn't survive being rehomed. Fortunately we all fit onto my boat quite nicely! :boat: But I hate to think of the ones buried in my old backyard with strangers living in the house. I suppose its silly, since they are gone, but I can't help it. :sigh:

I don't think it's silly...I have two of my bunnies burried in my yard and I'd be very sad to leave them:( But I'm glad to hear that you have some of your furbabies with you:cheer:

OK, this is the last photo of Angel I will post.

She used to like to sleep on "her" sofa, but the light bothered her ... so she used to put one arm accross her eyes. :updn:
