Hunting seeson is fixing to start.Disrupting hunters is on my mind.Finding deer stands, hunters truks, making noise.Seems like there was somthing deer dont like the smell of.It would be a good thing to scater in certain places.
I reckon bow seeson mite hav alredy started or starting soon.I go by the truk traffic in the holler early in the morning to tell if hunting is happning.I hear hunters talking in the littl country stores about what theyv kilt.

Blood sports I don't agree with. Saying "but they kill my chickens!!" is not a valid excuse- a farmer would rather slaughter 20 foxes than make a fox-proof enclosure.

Having said that, in some ways I prefer hunting for necessity (let us say, in times gone by and in other poorer countries) than farming animals, because although farmed animals have the benefit of safety, medicines etc... hunting is very much a fairer challenge. Either the hunter will find an animal, or he will not. The particular animal is random, not forced from birth. Either he will kill the animal or he will not.

But yeah, if I had to be around people talking about hunting, they'd get killer death looks. I'm not sure I'd be able to contain my rage.

I read that deer hate the smell of garlic. Not sure if it's true. You could mash some up and soak it in water for a couple of days and then spray it where you think hunters might shoot deer. Or use garlic powder.

Dogs are supposed to like aniseed. You could lay trails to places where deer are unlikely to go. Perhaps rocky outcrops. The dogs will go there and the hunters will follow them.

I been hearing gun shots too on weekends.
The garlic sounds like a good idea.Theyll be lots of hunting dogs runing thru the holler. Its going to driv my dogs crazy.Ill hav to keep them in the fenc more. The hunters take over the holler like a ocupying army. They ten to act like they doing somthing special.I red theres a decline in hunters like 16 million down to 13 million.Thats about 6 percent of the American population.Another thing I red,67 percent of the U.S. population aprove of hunting and 7 percent hunt.

I went to a place in the woods wair this tree stand is and peed everywair under it. My dog droped off a present.I picked it up throed in up into the tree stand.I got to brag,it was a good shot,a lucky shot but still good.So if sombody is able to get in that seat they mite regret it.That tree stand seems to look more unsafe everytime I leev there.Havnt seen any diferent tracks coming down my road. But theres some older ladys living about a half mile over the ridge behind me that let hunters hunt.Them ladys have about 20+ acres.Hunting season takes alot of the good out of Fall and early Winter.
