I have set the avatar size to 150 x 150 pixels, and everyone should now have an "Edit Avatar" function in their User CP. Animated avatars are enabled. :)

We now have the following avatar categories for members to choose from. "Luscious Produce", which is full of pictures of fruits, nuts, and veggies, "Produce Crate Labels", one of my favorite kinds of art, "Artsy", a mixed collection of images, and "Famous Vegans and Vegetarians", a collection of images of vegan and veggie people throughout the centuries. I just like browsing through them! :o

I have added one more section entitled "Animals and Nature", and there just happens to be a picture of the "Cairns Birdwing Butterfly" in there which I found when Googling "butterflies".
:butterfly:

All of our avatars were handpicked by moi, rather than a package deal. Now I need a really long :nap:.

Great avatars! :excited: :colors:

The Cairns Birdwing

The Cairns Birdwing (Ornithoptera priamus) is the largest butterfly in Australia with a wingspan of over 16 cm (6 ½ inches). The upper wings of the males are black with emerald green streaks across the length of the pointed wing. The female lacks the green but makes up for it with her greater size.

This is what the male looks like with his wings open:

Beautiful! I used to follow butterflies around when I was little, and sometimes I could get them to stay on my finger if I was very slow and gentle. I try not to "molest" them in this way anymore, now that I am grown up and should know better!

Hey Charmagne! I've got those licking puppy avatars uploaded, and they seem to be working. Look in the "Animations" category. There are ten of them, but they are not all together. One seems to appear on the first page, and the rest are on the second.

Hi Seymour,

I'm a single, muted calico looking for love in all the right places. I'm about 8 years old, I hope you like older females. I believe in safe sex so I am spayed. I'm a bit shy but once you get to know me, I'm all about love :smallheart:

Gliondrach

Watch out, Seymour lad. Women can be dangerous. They will try to change you. Dig your heels in and stay true to yourself. Never compromise about the important things in life, in other words, things that interest you. Women will try to interest you in things that they say will improve you. Don't listen to them. It is just a cunning ploy to mould you into the cat of their dreams. Let them have their dreams but don't let them make you live them. Dream your own dreams, walk your own path, follow your own star, march to the sound of your own drum. I can tell that you are a real hep cat. Never become a pet cat.

Good luck 1vegan! :crossfingers:

I was a supervisor once, and several people came to me to report that they were being sexually harassed by my boss. I knew they were telling the truth, because he tried the same crap on me. I didn't report my own case, but as a supervisor, I had to report for them, so I did. Guess who got in trouble?

All I can say is its a really good feeling to walk out on a job without notice when they treat you like crap, as long as you've got another job to fall back on, which fortunately I did. As I look back, I am still more satisfied at having done the right thing, even though I got "punished" for it, than frustrated that it didn't work the way it was supposed to.

Maybe its just time for a change, 1vegan, and something even better will come of this trouble, even though it must be very upsetting right now.

Sorry Charmagne, I'm late getting back to this thread. Yes, I have three beautiful labs. Ginger (yellow), Carson (chocolate) and Lacey (black). They are the loves of my life along with Dan, Kristin and Sarah (hubby and kids).

1Vegan, good luck with your job. Things can seem overwhelming at times but they will all work out. Sounds goofy, I know. Life gets messy and sometimes almost unbearable, but you'll pull through.
Some life coach I am, huh?

Actually, a friend of mine once gave me a print of a quote that said:
"Change of any sort requires courage". She gave it to me about 15 years ago during a dark period in my life and it still hangs in the same frame, in my home office.

Hang tough, my friend.

I've been meaning to comment about your new avatar. Have you tried Sheese? I know a few places in the US sell it online now but its quite pricey. My friend is flying in from London at the end of this month, maybe I'll ask her to sneak me in a packet or 2 though she did get the Cheezly confiscated by US Customs last time.

The customs officials at Newark airport must be anti-veganites. I think they're worried about some sort of weird UK disease or bug that likes vegan cheese will be introduced into New Jersey.

oh, they do allow food.

They just don't want meat dairy or cheese to enter the country.

You've got to answer the customs questions the right way ;)

customs: Do you have food with you?
A: yes, I've got cookies in my purse (that's baked, thus ok)

Customs: ok, have a nice stay

ETA : I had no problem getting in Tartex or "veggie jim beans" (sausages)

It's a pity that other countries don't ban imports of animal things. Then they would never have taken our calves to make into veal.

No, but I'm thinking about trying some. I don't actually eat much fauxmage, even though I used to be quite a cow cheese lover. :o But I'm curious about some of the different flavors, especially since all Follow Your Heart makes are Jack, mozzarella, cheddar, and nacho.
