Veganism will increase in leaps and bounds and an announcement will soon be made about something that will astound the whole world.

Definitely stay calm. (unless it is a person close to you - in that case it is kinda allowed)
I had a homeless person come at me - I said - 'You are scaring me' and he backed off. It would be interesting to see how other people handle it.

It depends on what you mean by 'coming at me'. If he just asked for money I would have politely refused or probably have said that I didn't have any. If he attacked me physically I would have defended myself with appropriate force. If he was verbally abusive I would have kept my distance and continued on my way.

The full moon behind the branches of a winter tree always looks nice. That supernova we saw last year was thought provoking. Venus always looks nice and bright - the ancient Hebrews used to call it Helel ben Shahar (Day star son of the dawn) or something like that when it was visible in the mornings. But I think a beautiful sunset is hard to beat. Or a nice sunrise. Today's sunrise turned the eastern sky a blazing orange and it was reflected in the river. I can only see the river when the trees have no leaves.

No. An earthquake was felt here some years ago but I didn't feel it. The epicentre was in north Wales, I think.

I don't know enough about raw foodism to currently be able to post an informed comment. Some years ago when I first became a veggie, I thought that veganism was very extreme and look what happened to that notion!:)

Probably a yew tree because they can live for 3,000 years or more.

A book, it just seems a bit less tiring.

There are so many to choose from but one that comes to mind is the Red Baron mystery. I would like to have seen who really shot him down. And then there is the Princes in the Tower mystery. Who really killed them?

But I would probably choose V.E. Day in London Town to experience all the joy and relief that people felt.

New Zealand. The NZ people I've met seem friendly and the climate seems more temperate than in many other countries.

Another difficult decision. The '60s seemed much better in many ways but not in other ways. There was still a lot of class snobbery and there were various forms of unfairness enshrined in law but it still seemed better to me, personally. But, as there was no internet, I wouldn't want to go back to those times. The '70s were quite good. I think that now is the best time.

Do you know your immediate neighbours very well?

We know the one on the right quite well, she is fantastic and has lived there since we move d in 27 years ago, on the other side we don't know them well at all - they are nice and all (and we take parcels in for them/send Christmas cards etc) but we had a really bad experience with neighbours in the past so we don't want to get too close.

I keep changing my mind but I think it would be nectarines. Or a nice banana but I rarely encounter a nice banana. Mangoes are nice but I'll stick with nectarines.

I can be either. When I'm researching something I am very organised but when I am trying some new gizmo I don't usually bother reading the manual. If it proves to be too difficult to understand without the manual, I often give up. I bought a camera about 8 years ago and can only use the basic functions. There are lots of things I haven't done with it yet.

This is difficult for me because I already speak 200 languages fluently. But I would like to be more fluent in Old Welsh or Old English. But for a truly foreign language, it would be German, I think.

Would I want to be a slave, even for a "benign slave-master"? I think the answer has to be no. If they wanted to change things 'for the good' by example, rather than by coersion eg to facilitate people going vegan, then I wouldn't find that a problem.

I would have to think long and hard before I could choose something. But any change in history could have profound effects now. What if someone had assassinated Hitler in 1937? Most of us wouldn't be alive. My parents wouldn't have met and I wouldn't be here. Perhaps Stalin would have taken over the world.

I'd have had Jesus realising when he was a youngster that being kind to animals was the right way to go. Never mind all that sending pigs to their deaths and telling people how to catch more fish. Hopefully the message would have carried on to the present day and billions of Christians and Muslims (and people of other faiths or no faiths?) would have been/ would be vegans.

I'm happy at the age I am. Being younger would have its attractions but I wouldn't want to experience the unpleasant parts of my life again - which I would do if I was younger. And I wouldn't want to miss them, either, because my life would be different.

I see a lot of similarity between me and Doc Savage - the incorruptibility, the steadfastness, the calmness under pressure, my intrepid approach to life, the unshakeable sense of being right, my chivalry, etc. But this is not surprising as my life mentor is the model upon whom Doc was based.

I have also identified with Robin Hood, I would like to be a bit more like Sidney (Pop) Larkin - minus his liking for meat, and Indiana Jones bears more than a passing resemblance to me.

I don't like watching films with a dog or a cat as a main character because there is always a sad scene involving them that makes my eyes a bit damp.

Lots of films bring a lump to my throat including the last scene of the last Blackadder series where they all go over the top. Even some scenes in Only Fools and Horses can get me going.

I think it has to be Dr Strangelove. I understand that some of the actors played it 'straight' not realising that it was a comedy. Very, very funny.

I remember my first day at school. I had two first days at school. But I don't remember my last. I didn't know it would be my last. I had intended going back after the summer holidays into the fifth form but decided to get a job instead.

Easily. The first thing I would do would be to buy a new pair of socks. I would also set up a vegan-organic farm and arrange for it to become some sort of co-operative so that vegans could work there. I would fund medical research and give money to worthy causes.
