Joni Purmonen, a vegan, won in a qualifying round to be in the UK 17-stone weight category strongman finals.

I don't know why people want to be so bulky.

I'm glad though that there are vegan body builders though. I wonder what is diet is like though.

Those are only the lightweights or possibly middleweights. The really big blokes weigh more than half as much again.

I was a Vegan Strongwoman Competitor once. We were at a carnival, and some people egged me on to do that thing where you strike a springboard with a really heavy mallet, and it sends a puck up the cable to hopefully ring the bell at the top. I made it go higher than any of the women who tried, and almost as high as one of the men. People got so excited they told the carnie in charge to let me have extra blows for free. :strongman: :curtsey2:

The nice thing was that though the entire carnival didn't know I was vegan, the group of people I was with who egged me on and competed with me did. :wigglebutt:
