Was anyone here at the 2009 event?

We had a great time in beautiful Northumberland with around 100 people, making new friends, sharing more than a little vegan wine, shared some interesting workshops & talks. Any feedback would be useful.

The good news is we have now booked the entire site for 2010 and expecting 250 people for the week. We are planning more events to local attractions plus some vegan cookery lessons, more raw food workshops & much much more

If anyone is intersted in coming along prices are really good - from £50 for a full week in nice holiday homes self catering or you can book a full house to share for upto 10 people - which works out eveny cheaper

its suitable for families and the kids made lots of friends and got on so well together, its great for singles too - even a bit of romance happened last time

Let me know what sort of thing would tempt you along to the 2010 gathering, events, trips, workshops, talks etc

I'd like to go but probably won't be able to.

I wonder if these sorts of gatherings will be targetted by coppers looking for potential ter rorists?

Just a reminder - final bookings are being taken now for the 20 10 gathering :cheer:

There is limited accomodation available from only £70 per person for the week.
Its 2nd to 9 of April during half term, suitable for those with or without kids & singles too. Dogs are also welcome.

Its located just a few mins from Morpeth Bus & train stations & on a major bus route if you need to get out & about

We had a really good time last year, made lots of friends and quite a few of those who were not vegan have now gone vegan. :blinkwave:
It helped alot of the kids too knowing they are not the only veggies/vegans out there & mine has become a much stronger person on animal cruelty through it

This year there are many more events planned, a big welcome party on the saturday, open days to the public over the weekend, talks & workshops on all sorts of vegan subjects through the week and trips to local attractions too.

It also helps to make the NE a bit more vegan.
It was so funny to see dozens of vegans hit the towns, asking the staff over & over if they have soya milk, if these sweets are vegan, what has animal bits in.
The local coop was cleared out of vegan wine after 2 days.

Hope to see some of you there in April. Its much mroe fun when you have lots of friends.

PS - We have police in the local vegan group too

I hope it's a great success. Someone famous? No one knew I might be there so it can't be me.
