I don't wear makeup everyday, but sometimes I like to, when I am going somewhere special. Its fun, and I'm kinda good at it too.
I got a kit of mineral makeup from Whole foods a while ago, and I liked it, but when I wanted to buy more, the price was way too high. They're not called Whole Paycheck for nothing.
I heard about Everyday Minerals at another forum. They are CHEAP, and very nice. The foundation covers nicely, without being heavy. Some of the eye shadows and blushes are kind of glittery, which is not very good, but some of the glitter can be buffed off. The colors are pretty, and a little goes a long way.
I may be using more of the foundation, as there is a formula made from zinc oxide, which is really very good for the skin, and its a good, safe sunscreen for the face, which really shouldn't be exposed to as much sun as the rest of the body.
Anyway, I thought I would give them a plug. I don't know how many of you wear even light makeup, but they do sell lip balms, both plain and tinted, and they are all vegan! I love the Murumuru Lemon Spice. Ever since Alba put beeswax into their previously vegan lip balms, I have been looking for a new one, and its not easy. Merry Hempsters is available locally, but they don't taste very good.
In fact, all of the stuff sold at Everyday Minerals is vegan in ingredients, and not animal tested. They sell a few makeup brushes, made from bamboo handles and very nice synthetic bristles.
They have a free sample kit you can order, to find out which colors and finishes suit you best, and there is no limit to the quantity you can re-order, but you can only order one at a time. They also have very well priced custom kits.
Its a little messy at first, because its all powder, but its not hard to get the hang of using it without making too big a mess.
Check them out (https://www.everydayminerals.com/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&page=shop.browse&category_id=26&Itemid=40#)! The cuticle butter and hand salve are nice too.
