Yes I know they're bastards & it's not exactly healthy but it's sometimes the only thing that makes my migraine meds work properly. I've been using own brand cola but tbh it's ripping the stomach outta me at times.
It's my last resort after meds and coffee and I just want to know if it's vegan please *puts tin hat on*

I'm pretty sure it is vegan, I know it always used to be, but not checked for ages.
The fish is in the orange coloured drinks - it's isinglass used to suspend the orange colour in the drink. Which is crap, seeing as people don't even see the colour of the drink if it's in a can.
Still would avoid Coke if at all possible.

I thought it was mainly E120 in orange drinks that made them dodgy? I didnt know they had fish in too
# Can you tell me which of your products are suitable for vegetarians?
None of the products of Coca-Cola Great Britain contain ingredients derived from mammals. As some practicing vegetarians avoid fish products as well, it is important to note that some of our products contain minute traces of fish gelatine, which is used as a stabiliser for the beta-carotene colour. These products are:
* 'Fanta' Orange and 'Fanta' Zero Orange
* 'Lilt ' and 'Lilt' Zero
* 'Five Alive' Squash Citrus Burst
* 'Five Alive' Squash Tropical Hit
* 'Kia-Ora' Orange Squash and 'Kia-Ora' Orange Squash no added sugar
* 'Kia-Ora' Orange & Pineapple Squash and 'Kia-Ora' Orange & Pineapple Squash no added sugar
* 'Minute Maid' Orange & Passionfruit
* 'Schweppes' Slimline Orange Crush

Thanks guys, it's just good to know I don't have to lug a can of cola around with me everywhere in case I get 'one of me heads' I'm knackered as it is without an extra 330mls weighing me bag down. I don't even like coke or cola :craziest:

How does it make your migraine things work, Fezza?

Caffeine helps certain drugs be more effective G, and I think the coke settles my stomach which helps me absorb the tablets better. The stomach upset they cause can actually inhibit your body from absorbing the tablets. I used to take migralieve because the pink ones had a stomach calming ingredient then I realised they contain gelatine :craziest: My migraines are chronic & include classic migraine, acupuncture really helps but I still get bouts of migraine/tension type headaches every day for weeks.

Have you tried other sources of caffeine, such as guarana and yerba mate? If you do, don't have too much mate for too long. Don't they make tablets with caffeine added?

I haven't tried those, the tablets I take have caffeine added but it doesn't seem to be enough.

If you do decide to try them, ask your quack or a medical herbalist. Guarana contains about 3-times the amount of caffeine as coffee.
