I bought some Dr Cow (www.dr-cow.com) raw, vegan cheese yesterday at a store in NYC. Very pricey, $9 for 4oz but it is definitely the best tasting vegan cheese I have ever eaten. It is actually aged to give it a very cheezy taste. I got the one with hemp seeds. I'm glad it is not sold locally because I'd be tempted to buy it more.

Had a look at the web site, looks very interesting. There used to be a nut based 'cheese' available in the UK called Vegerella but not seen it for ages. I quite liked that one although the texture was weird and it wasn't aged.

Those look really great! :agree: Simple ingredients: basically just different nuts, acidophilus & himalayan pink salt.

I have the Ultimate Uncheese Cookbook and while some of the recipes are good, it is nowhere as tasty as Dr. Cow. Plus, Dr. Cow is raw which is a huge plus. I finished the rest of the Dr. Cow today. Cherie sent me a link from a raw forum on how to make your own raw stinky cheeze like Dr. Cow. I might give it a go once I get some vegan acidopholus.
