Truly stunning. I get one of these in my organic veg box every once in a while and I love them. The first time I had to look it up and found it is often called a Romanesque Cauliflower. It is wonderful! :)

It cooks just like normal cauliflower, but holds its shape a little better. I cook it lightly and use it on the side or, my new favourite, is to fry a leek and some garlic until it's nice and soft, then add cooked Romanesque to the pan and fry it until it's all flavoured by the garlic and leek. Then eat it! With bread is nice, or on its own. :)

You're lucky to have it in your weekly veg box :)

Sometimes the store here will have them too, but they can be a bit on the small and relatively expensive.

I feel lucky :D My local veg box is so good. A load of veg, all organic, delivered for less than I could buy the non-organic version in Tesco... Anyone in the West Midlands, give The Organic Box Company a whirl. £16 for a big family box. £10.50 for a smaller one. Lovely stuff!

Tabs - go and buy one!

For the geekily minded, they are a fantastic example of a fractal in nature. Fractals are mathematical things and occur in nature. I love them! You can read about them here (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fractal) but you're probably not as odd as me.

I would love to have one delivered, but its a bit expensive and too much for me as I wouldnt want it weekly.

My nearest greengrocer in the village sell local veg.

My favourite veg is all of them.

You could club together with a couple of other people to get a box delivered.

Wow that Romanesque Cauliflower is a work of art - its really beautiful, I have never seen one before.

Organic veg boxes are brilliant for obscure and wonderful veggies and fruit, I have noticed that when I used to get one a few years ago. In recent years I have got into growing my own organic food.
