I found 2 fleas on her last Saturday. I've been combing her twice a day with a flea comb and using herbal spray on her (made with essential oils and isopropyl alcohol) plus we washed all the linens, vacummed a few times and kept her out of the bedrooms. I haven't seen anymore fleas besides those two but I do find some flea poop while combing her with the flea comb. Are the fleas hiding somewhere? Should I be doing something else? Do we need to bomb the apartment? Move?

- Vacuum often everywhere, especially in forgotten dusty places like under your bed and sofa. Change vacuum bag after each use.
- Continue with the herbal spray and Advantage or Frontline if you haven't already done that (and the flea comb as well, that will remove the eggs.)
- There's an orange spray called "Bug-off" which might be useful around the house.
- Wash bedding (everything!). Put things like stuffed animals and small pillows that can't be washed and in plastic bags and seal it for a few days.
Don't panic, this will probably work.

I hope you sort it out. I speak as someone who has successfully thwarted several invasions of insects. Of course, I have the greatest military strategist and tactician of all time to give me advice.

I know it's yucky, but I use Advantage on my kitty. That kills off the fleas even in the house (eventually, as they get back on the cat from the floors).
I also read that sprinkling salt into the carpet helps kill flea larva, but I dunno if that's accurate.

I wouldnt want to try the salt in case my dogs get it in their paws and they lick it off.
What's wrong with that? It's better than lots of other flea treatments for carpets anyway:agree: The article I read about it in actually recommended it for animal households.

I read this the other day before reading this site and sprinkled salt last night. I used sea salt, very la-di-da. Felíne doesn't lick her paws. We're going to leave it for a week then vacumm. Allegedly, it dehydrates the eggs and kills the adult fleas. I flea combed her tonight and didn't see anything but big flakes of salt. :crossfingers:
