I saw on another forum that someone with severe egg allergies could not drink coffee because, they later discovered, coffee beans are clarified with eggs? I have never read this anywhere and my husband loves organic coffee in the morning. Anyone ever hear of this? If true, are there any vegan coffees?

I have never heard of this either. I did a search, and this is all I found:
To make REAL old-fashioned Swedish kaffe, add egg whites Adding egg whites makes a kind of "egg coffee", which according to some Swedes is believed to taste smoother.
It doesn't seem like it would be practical to do this to coffee beans. I wonder if it is something done to instant coffees. I guess to know for sure you would have to contact your coffee company and ask them.

it's not true, i'm pretty sure if it was true tho, it would be with instant coffee, not organic. But i would contact the company who makes it, and just make sure.

I would assume that if it had any traces of egg in it that it would clearly be stated on the label--like how under ingredient lists it says stuff like CONTAINS MILK AND WHEAT, but in this case it would say CONTAINS EGG.
