Hey All,

It's been eons since I've posted! I'm here to glean some suggestions regarding footwear. Before going FULLY vegan, my shoes of choice were Dansko clogs and - for summer - leather (dress) sandals. I work in a casual office environment.

Can anyone suggest some good brands that range in price/availability between Payless toe-pinchers and Stella McCartney pumps? I've found some canvas slingback wedges at Kohl's, along with a pair of black (fabric) slides - with bows - tres cute!

But . . . alas! So far, my conscience is soothed yet my feet are whining :crying:

Many thanks for any and all ideas,
Sea

Hello, SeaWillow. Nice to 'see' you back. There are some threads on here about shoes but I can only find one:

When the other Americans log on they should be able to help.

There is also Alternative Outfitters (www.alternativeoutfitters.com) and Zappos (www.zappos.com) which has a section exclusively for vegan footwear and offers free shipping. I usually get my sneakers, sandals and Crocs from Zappos.

Hi everyone - I appreciate your replies to my question, along with the warm "welcome back."

I'm sensing that one's geographical locale may influence product availability. While we've surely got Vegans/Vegetarians here in the Mid-Atlantic, my daughter (in Seattle) finds many more resources (apparel, eateries, etc) to support her vegan choices. We both find that the UK has a plethora of all things vegan - you mates across the pond totally rock :cheer:

Have a great day all!

But don't go to Newcastle. Not that vegan friendly. In fact, they still have cannibals.

I have also bought vegan shoes at onlineshoes.com and Zappos. You could also look at those vegan shoes on-line and see if any local stores have them. [I got a pair of Merrell's at a "brick and mortar" store that I had seen on-line.] They have vegan shoes at Pangea vegan store and Vegan Essentials (both on-line) as well...I've never bought any from them because if I didn't like 'em, I'd have to pay shipping back (unlike Zappo's and onlineshoes).
