A programme on Channel Four this evening looked at the man made chemicals that children are exposed to. One lad had been using deoderant since he was 8. They said that children's sweat doesn't smell until they reach puberty. One 16-year-old girl came into contact with 2,000 man made chemicals a day, mainly in her make up. Many were found in her urine. After 2 weeks living without dangerous make up her urine had no trace of these chemicals.

Some lads were given non-harmful deoderants to use. One was ROC, one was aloe vera based, one was something else. And one consisted of just orange juice. Some girls did the t-shirt smell test after they'd been wearing them all day and said that the one worn by the lad who used the orange juice was the most effective. Lemon juice can be used as well.
