While surfing this section of the naked vegan, I had a cookie request from a site.
(I have my settings so firefox asks what to do before it accepts cookies.)
I'm not sure it's fully related to TNV, but I got it while I had the "regular news" thread and the "Recommended radio and television programmes" thread open.
I denied that cookie access and after that I got a "hijack attempt detected" message.
Maybe it is wise for people to run the usual anti-spyware an extra time? Some how I think it's related to a posted video or so, but can't prove it.

For a second, I thought someone tried to hijack you, maybe while riding your bike. What would it mean if someone hijacked someone online?

It would mean that maybe a spammer or so is trying to take control over my puter.
maybe to use it for spamming, or to see if they can find interesting personal data like a creditcardnumber or gaining control over my online banking.
I ran adaware, spybot and spyware blaster, I'm hope that means I'm safe again :)

I haven't watched any of the recently added videos.

The instructions I followed were supposed to be the preferred way of embedding the videos for safety reasons, but I suppose anything can happen. I haven't had any trouble myself.
But like I have said elsewhere, that's why you must never click on spam links at other forums who don't have the ability to prevent people from joining and posting right away. Those links often do put your personal information at risk. That's what they're designed and posted for. It seems like the world is full of cunning thieves who find new ways to steal from us even faster than those who try to find ways to prevent them.

I haven't had any trouble either but I don't really get spam. My pop-up blocker through McAfee works overtime though. It always shows me when it blocks a pop-up. I don't click on strange links anymore either.

Yes they do update really often. The computer came with a three year contract which still has a year to go. I've had a worm once which they caught and quarantined and told me about it afterwards.

I can't say for sure that it was related to the naked vegan :)
I had six tabs open, four of them from here, one U.S newspaper and the BBC iirc.
I do get spam...... I seem to get more spam since my provider offers a paid for spam filter ;)
Very strange to me, as I am very careful with my providers email address.

Test Your Knowledge of Online Scams

Think you're smart at recognizing online scams? Take a quiz to find out.
McAfee Inc.'s SiteAdvisor service has created a 10-question test to see whether you can spot "phishing" attempts to steal passwords and other personal information by mimicking popular Web sites such as eBay Inc.'s PayPal and News Corp.'s MySpace.
In eight questions, you are presented with two Web sites or e-mail messages and are asked to identify the authentic one. The final two questions test your general knowledge about scams.
Afterward, the McAfee site presents telltale signs to look for, such as misspellings and suspicious Web addresses.
You can also download a tool that can help warn of sites known or suspected to be phishing scams. SiteAdvisor researchers also identify sites that produce spyware, viruses, excessive pop-up ads, junk e-mail or other threats.
Visit http://tinyurl.com/ytec4u to take the quiz.
